Fork it Over
We had to share this! We take all requests seriously, to the point that we will take on ANY mold challenge to help a fellow confectioner or ad specialty distributor. One distributor had a bakery client who needed help FAST. With nothing more than the joy of a challenge, I personally made an edible fork and knife for the anniversary cake of a MAJOR food supplier.
After pressing foil over a fork, I dripped melted chocolate into the foil
I wasn't happy with the outcome. It didn't look real...
By heating the TIP of a knife, I was able to melt away the chocolate between the tines
Now THAT'S a fork with REALISTIC tines!
Same with the KNIFE!
The cake was a HIT with edible fork and knife on top!
